It was really awesome. I don’t remember if I has any issues with it as far as singal is concerned. Travelled to Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Granada, Marbella, Cadiz and Seville. Signal strength was excellent. Skype and whatsup helped me keep in touch with my team back in the home country.

IRELAND – “EMERLAND ISLE”

Ireland is a country with an extraordinary natural beauty and full of history: Moher cliffs are the most spectacular cliffs of the country and are located in Clare County; relaxing green pastures cover the entire territory and give the name to the country “The Emerland Isle”; natural areas like Connemara Park, Aran Islands or the Burren and Killarney National Parks, Iveragh Peninsula… Buildings like Kylemore Abbey or Malahide Castle should be part of your trip; and of course cities like Cork, and the capital Dublin, where you can’t miss the Phoenix Park, the famous Trinity College, St. Patrick’s Cathedral or Guinness Storehouse, among many other tourist attractions.

POLITICS, ECONOMY AND POPULATION

Ireland has a total surface of 70.273 km2, occupies most of the island and border Northern Ireland, which belongs to the UK. Ireland is part of the European Union, has a total population of 4.593.000 inhabitants and the government is a parliamentary republic. This country is mainly based on trading and during the 80s and 90s experienced a significant growth and became one of the countries with highest GDP per inhabitant.

ENGLISH OR IRISH?

The official languages in Ireland are Gaelic or Irish and English. Irish has Celtic origins and is one of the most ancient languages in the world, although only 5% of the population are fluent speakers. The vast majority of Irish people speak English, although accent and intonation is different and peculiar. It is known as “Hiberno-English” and combines Irish grammar and English language. If you travel to Northern Ireland you will listen to a different language known as Ullans, which is a variant of the Scottish language imported by colonists.

WHAT SHOULD I INCLUDE IN MY SUITCASE? – WATER CLOTHING

If you are planning your next trip to Ireland, you shouldn’t forget the umbrella, raincoat and water walking boots. This country has an oceanic climate, mild temperatures and persistent fog. Don’t forget memory cards if you are planning on taking good pictures and remember sockets have three plugs, so you will need a 230v 50hz adapter, just like Great Britain. In relation to money, the official currency is the euro and you can exchange money at cash points, banks, airports or exchange offices. You will need a visa if you are not an UK or EU citizen.
